Welcome to Helping Hands Pantry

COVID ADVISORY

As an emergency service and food provider, we are continuing our services to the public the same as before. The state of California categorizes us as an essential service. We are here for all who need us, the demand is growing, and we expect it to continue to grow. We’ll continue to help all who come to us. Please let anyone who needs food know that they can come to us. San Bernardino County, and in particular, the city of San Bernardino, is one of the most food-insecure places in the country. The circumstances around the COVID-19 crisis are likely to hit our area even harder than most.

We have reduced our volunteer days to Monday-Friday 7am to noon at the warehouse, and we’re in need of more volunteers at these times. If you can, please come and help, but do not come if you feel ill or show any of the signs that you may have the virus. Also, please exercise best practices while here to keep yourself and everyone at the warehouse healthy and safe.

We consider it our privilege to provide the services that we do, especially at a time of crisis like this, and renew our commitment to all of our neighbors.

This commitment will take all of our resources and incur additional expenses. Please volunteer or donate if you are able. Thank you!

Services to the Public located at 1455 3rd Street
Volunteers should click on Volunteer Opportunities in the menu bar above. For the remainder of March the warehouse will be closed to volunteering on Sundays. It will still be open 7am to noon Monday -Friday

The Signs of Hunger are Not Always This Obvious

Helping the homeless and hungryThere are over 40,000 children in the city of San Bernardino alone that are in danger of going to bed hungry every night. San Bernardino has the second highest rate of poverty of any city in America. Our neighbors are hungry. Our neighbors’ children are hungry. What are we going to do about it? What are you going to do about it?

Helping Hands Pantry is just the right organization in just the right place at just the right time to make a significant difference, and we need your help to succeed. We are the only food pantry in the area that is open five days a week and that does not turn anyone away. We already serve 7,000 of these people a week, both at our distribution center and via our mobile food bank, to make sure that they do not go to bed hungry, and that number is growing. With your help we can make sure that no child, no man, no woman in our area has to go to bed hungry. We can do it.

Imagine the second most poverty-stricken city in America and no one going hungry. Imagine being part of the movement that makes this possible. Imagine Helping Hands Pantry.

VOLUNTEERS: Warehouse will only be open 7am to noon Monday-Friday until Coronavirus danger is over
